Dungeon Settlers Equipment: Weapon and Armor Stats

Equipment list checked:

Crafting stations matter: wood gear comes from the Basic or Carpenter Workstation, bone and carapace from the Hunter Workstation, bloodwood from the Carpenter Workstation, and copper and Arcron from the Casting Workbench. Staffs need their own workstation plus elemental essence and mana stone powder.

Durability, weight and repairs

Source: Dungeon Settlers community wiki (Miraheze), Equipment page, last edited 2026-07-12 (demo build v0.3.x). These are demo-build values; CanOpener has since changed item weights (v0.4.19), so treat weights as upper bounds until the list is refreshed. Numbers have moved between builds before: an older official store screenshot shows the Bone Sword at +6 attack and 200 durability, against +30 and 1,200 in the demo.

Equipment questions

What is the best weapon material?

On the documented stats each material step adds attack: a sword goes from 23 (wood) to 30 (bone), 36 (carapace), 42 (bloodwood), 45 (copper) and 57 (Arcron). Bloodwood also has the highest durability of the non-metal gear. Copper and Arcron need the Casting Workbench and metal research.

How do I repair equipment?

Build a repair station (it sits near the end of the building menu). Settlers repair their gear automatically; right-click an item to switch auto-repair off for it, or disable the station. Repairs cost materials, and the Alpha Acid Slogel's corrosion is the fastest way to lose durability.

Why is my archer always overloaded?

Arrows have weight (wooden arrows 0.2 each), and one log makes 30. Patch v0.4.19 raised the stack size to 200 and made armour, bones, stone, clay and ores lighter, but players still trim arrow counts or use a Strength-based archer.
