Dungeon Settlers Demo: Is It Still Available?

Can you still play the demo?

No. CanOpener removed the demo from 27 August 2026, explaining that it “differs significantly from the upcoming Early Access version, particularly in terms of quality-of-life improvements and the overall gameplay experience”. The full game has been in Steam Early Access since 4 September 2026 at $24.99.

Demo saves

Saves did not carry over between the playtest, the demo and Early Access. CanOpener warned about this at every step.

Beware of download sites

In February 2026 CanOpener warned about a fake website impersonating the game to collect personal information and spread malicious files. Its advice still stands: any site offering a downloadable build, demo or Early Access copy is not official. The only official channels are the Steam page, the official Discord and CanOpener’s own website.
